A poem from the heart...
REAWAKENING
by
Moira Banks
I looked at you and held a
thought,
a fleeting, lovely thing.
I looked at you a second time,
and my heart began to sing.
You took me from the place I was,
emotionally dead.
You pointed out the way to me,
invest in life instead.
And I began to dream a dream,
to fill an empty heart.
With thoughts of wonder and of love,
and felt the feelings start.
You stirred some sweet emotions up,
I had thought gone forever.
Thoughts of loving and of trust,
and they will leave me never.
Oh, you could sway my heart indeed,
with minimum of trouble.
It would not be against my will,
the way need not be subtle.
And I would love to know your heart
if you would show the way.
For if you want to have it known,
you only have to say.
Because you are the man you are,
instinctive trust is sure
And I would gladly show my heart
and know it was secure.
I hold this thought, this lovely thing
that you have given me.
The feelings that it has evoked,
are mine, and always will be.

A CALL TO AN ANGEL I CALL TO ANGEL
by
Come Again Moon
For my heart to hold, sure, but tender
For my mind to acknowledge
For my soul to encompass in splendor
An angel to help me act in consideration for others, for the angel is
constant and forever gracious
I call to an angel to place within me, the sense to halt, before my
actions become overbearing, or when my ego rolls to thunder, for the
angel reflects the deafening brilliance of crystal faceted silence.
Never again, should I lend my emotions to play with the shadows of
resentment or spitefulness, for fear that a heavenly light, show my face
reflected in the tears of my Creator.
My angel would give me notice when I am about to say or do a
thoughtless, or hurtful thing, or fail to say or do what is right and
proper, on any given occasion. Thoughtful intent, calls the angel of
awakening, who permeates the boundaries of consciousness with
appropriate choices.
That holy angel would soothe me with the sacred oil of compassion and
understanding for my Earthly burdens of pain and suffering and show me
that all energy grown of revenge, or lust for compensation, is designed
to actively plant the seeds of hate, which continue throughout the
world, to grow in that circle, back to myself. If I can not restrain
from such indulgence, this, The angel would say, is the feast I have
prepared for myself. My angel would not be there to share it with me,
for only those of like taste would be seated at my table.
I call to my angel who will teach me to give unconditionally. An angel
to share the knowledge of the joy that it is to give, with no thought of
personal gain, nor for ego's sake.
My angel would tell me that I am beautiful in mind, body and spirit and
sing to me these reminders until I see that it is in the beauty of All
My Relations, that my angel dances me from the shadow of self imposed
ugliness.
The angel is moderate and would warn me against excessive indulgence in
pleasures of the flesh, for to so indulge, is to lose memory of the
spirit of love.
I call to an angel to share with me, a heart filled with love.
A heart filled with love, doesn't have room for anything else.
This I know, but how?
Perhaps an angel told me...
Perhaps someone who loves me.me Again Moon 1997
Thanks for Reading & may Story bring you to Life & Truth...
May the Light contained in Story brighten your Moments...
May your Moments be Remembered with Joy...
And...,
May your Joy brighten the World of others that they, too,
May know of Joy Found in the Heart where beats of the Earth
Cascade from Waterfalls of Sound bringing Destiny into Reach
and most of All
Awareness....

Keep Your Light Shining
Let the light of others shine for you
When you feel weak
As you do for them when you feel strong...
There is a lesson here.
And, in your strength,
You also acknowledge
Your weakness...,
And...
Find
In your weakness...,
Sometimes...,
Your greatest strength.
It is a puzzle, a quandary, yet, a truth.
It is in our vulnerability
We are protected
And
In our strength we are vulnerable
If
We are "strong" enough to be truly so.
And
In being truly so...,
We are...
And...,
There is nothing more.

ON NEWTON'S DILEMMA
Time is what passes between now and now.
Space is that which takes up what we can't see.
Place is where something is.
Motion is place changing with place.
*
A ruler (measure) works only because we have agreed on a measure of distance
(weight or ?)
Can you imagine if we couldn't agree?
Or find a fixed point? Do we realize we
create the fixed point, also.
SPACE
Space is a race to a new Place
Where Motion stands still
And Stillness moves Fast
And they meet in the middle
Only because they have found
Fixed Points.
When they realize
There are no such things
Everything becomes
Still...

MORE ON SILENCE...
The sun will rise on this day
The night will fall on this day
I know not of tomorrow nor of today
But in my silence I know that whatever
Comes before me will only linger a short while
For I have singing deep within me the most wonderful song of all
The simple song of silence*
It is through an inner silence some look upon as prayer that we come to know ourselves.
Silence can become a quest or simply be the attainment of inner peace.
To attain inner peace we must first learn the lesson of silence.
When there is noise in the outer world, we can retreat to our inner world of silence and find quiet.
It is in quiet, peaceful times that we gain the insights we need to bring order to the confusion we face in the outer world.
To some, silence is an anathema and not the blessing it truly is.
For those who see silence as an anathema, they are part of the lost, never finding solace in the crowd, constantly running from stimuli to stimuli hoping to connect with what is inside them, yet if they could only learn to be quiet, to sit occasionally in absolute, total silence they would find that which they truly seek - their own spirit.
A life without moments of silence becomes a life of never-ending soul diffusion.
If you seek peace, attunement with your own soul - then learn the lessons of silence.
We tend to think we can never find complete solace, yet all we have to do is learn to find refuge in the silence of our own soul.
A few moments of daily silence rejuvenates the spirit providing the psychic nourishment we all so easily neglect, yet so desperately require to sustain the fully-functioning of our minds, bodies, and souls.
It is only when we take the time to know our own inner spirit through moments of silence that we can truly know of ourselves, then share that which is most integral to us with others making our most precious and most needed contribution to the world.
There are no excuses for neglecting our own spirit by allowing ourselves to be constantly bombarded with the needs of others and neglecting our essence. We do this so often every day that we become little more than automatons always reacting to the demands of those around us instead of following our own true path directed from within.
Never taking the time to listen to ourselves in silence is as great a crime as the taking of a life, for in doing so, we are in effect, slowly killing the most precious element in our own lives, our innermost selves.
It is through knowing the benefits of daily silence that I have come to understand the world of noise. In all things I will take the former, for it is only then that I can learn how to respond honestly to what is around me.
If God meant for us to live surrounded by noise there would be no night, no pause in the wind, no butterfly wings flitting soundlessly in the forest.
Silence flits like hummingbird wings brushing gently caressing our thoughts and freeing us to chart our own destinies.
Silence needs no guide or teacher, for we all carry within us the capacity to sit alone and quietly set ourselves free so we can tune into the glorious rhythms of the universe.
If silence were so difficult to attain we would not have the earth upon which to rest or eyes that we can close while the world goes on its merry way, but never passing us by as we flow with it soundlessly in tune with the fundamental rhythms of the universe.
