Laurie Lindemeier has been teaching voice and piano for 27 years. From 2003-2006 she sang with the chorus of the Dallas Opera as a contralto, and she occasionally performs at the local venues in McKinney, Texas. Her watercolor paintings are also on display in several shops in the historic square of McKinney.

Laurie passed with excellence comprehensive piano/theory exams by the Minnesota Music Teachers Association. She studied piano and voice at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota and  toured with their concert choir throughout Norway, Sweden, Germany, Denmark and England.


Laurie has soloed with choirs in Massachusetts and Florida, and performed lead roles with the Deep Ellum Opera Company, Texas Gilbert & Sullivan Company, and the Surfside Theatre in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Laurie is a member of the National Music Teachers Association and the American Guild of Musicians and Artists. She teaches classical repertoire (English, Italian, German and French), in addition to Broadway and contemporary Christian music.

Laurie is proud of her two awesome teenagers whom she raises in McKinney, Texas where she maintains a full studio of voice and piano students, works at an elementary school and free lance writes and paints for special interest magazines.

Her son Kyle is on the debate team and is a black belt in tae kwan do. Her daughter, Vianna, plays all positions well on her soccer team, is learning to speak German and participates in drama and theatre as often as she can.
